Age of Influence

An idea the popped into my head this morning. An NPR story about the elderly population and dating in the internet age. One statistic that stood out to me was that women out live men.

Traditionally (and stereo-typically), men are the heads of large powerful corporations. As these men pass away, what if their wives took over the business. They are a part of a secret society that controls a large and influential segment of the business world. Women who may have been subordinate to their husbands are now running their business. Powerful men who had affairs, but stayed married, these women now control their husbands life’s work. Hiring more women into the business. Changing the company to cater to the female population.

That’s it. Nothing really fleshed out, just an idea.
